Within two weeks there have been incident's of animals being used as targets by air rifles. The first was near the Caldon Canal with birds being shot at and more recently a cat in Newcastle. People are urged to come forward and report anyone to the Police or the RSPCA (0300 1234 999) they suspect of shooting at animals with air guns or rifles.
